Being this is the board of a thousand CSSs, and the meta thread has been rife with CSS discussion, - here's a dedicated thread.
This OP will be site focused. anon.cafe has plenty of boards with CSS so they are included for ease of access when relevant.

Hi, I'm new here. I was told I could change the CSS of my "board" >>2093

I can upload the CSS for you, you'll just have to specify what kind of CSS you wish to have, perhaps upload the CSS file, pick backgrounds if any and I'll see if I can adapt it to that thread

Greetings to all indigeneous creatures of this board.

I am an ancient traveler on this forsaken land. I‘ve been to countless boards and numerous threads, seen such dreadful beings your minds couldn’t even begin to process. The soul purpose of my journey is to study these distant lands and the inhabitants native to this land.

Therefore I humbly ask you kind strangers to reveal your secret history and hidden treasures to this peaceful historian.

hm... well, same thing. I am also a traveler, although I think I can't help you with chan histories too much, from what I know learning more about chans will just lead you to a wormhole of insanity.

I first started to visit various alt chans after 4chan got nuked (for about a week). I first found out about 4chan in Late September/early August 2018 from a youtube video. I like "discovering" small alt chans/image boards. I know this post (and thread) are years old, but nothing wrong with posting into the void. Hope you've had good life after you posted this, and hope you stay safe. See you somewhere else on the internet.

Ngl I wish 4cuck would get nuked permanently. m00t stumbled into something important back in the day. As usual, the ((( usual suspects ))) began their usual evils, and jewt soon transitioned into $$$Luggage Lad$$$. I have no idea why GamerGay had such a bad influence and outcome on him, or maybe it really was from ((( epst*in ))), but w/e the reasons the place became a curse in the 10s, just about the time we had our first & second exoduses to Fullchan.

I have started work on updating the code (for the Catgirl Pool Party game demo)
So far the intro scenes work just like before. Next I'll update the code for the title screen, menus, options and finally I'll update the gameplay.
My plan is to finish all this before Christmas day. After Christmas I will focus on making changes to the gameplay, adding music to the game and prepare the game demo for /agdg/ demo day 66

Looks great. Best of luck with the project!
I couldn't update all the code for the Mega Drive/Genesis version of Catgirl Pool Party before Christmas day, but I'll likely keep working on it later
I'm strongly considering working more on the Godot version of the game
>>2039
There wasn't enough time to submit a demo for demoday 66, I forgot to post this up until now
Perhaps I could submit an updated demo for the next one
I'm busy these days with other matters, but I will likely work on this again later

Yeah, but it's been a long time since 8chan died. I did actually post on all the other incarnations up to and including the Wapchan one, but I ended up leaving that one a while ago. The old 8chan flavor is gone now.

/comfy/ helps fill some of the void, but there was something unique about the old /kind/. There was room for a little spiciness without things getting too uncivil. I miss 8chan, and in that sense I don't know where I'd move on to when I'd feel more comfortable in the past. The webring has been great. I'd be all in on posting on here until I'm old and gray in a retirement home. Still, I can't help but miss the old days.

ITT we discuss IPFS, share IPNS websites, publish own sites, share helpful links, Q&A.

Q: What is an IPFS?
A: Inter-Planetary File System. p2p decentralized.
Q: How is it better or different from other alternatives?
A: It gained some tracktion & adoption, in comparison with less popular alternatives. It is open source & ready to use.
Q: What is IPNS & how does it work?
A: IPNS is a sort what decentralized domain name hash to a web page. When you publish an web page, document, in IPFS it become reacheable via unique hash, however if you update document, hash changes, IPNS aims to resolve this.

In http://www. pages, domains, url links get removed. In IPFS they are supposed to be stored permanently.

in order to use IPFS you need an IPFS compatible web browser, extension, and better run your local node/resolver.

>Also a great way to dox your IP address and still no TOR support. Sounds like your typical glownigger project.

at those times we live in,
it's hard to say if whether you are a thrall or speaking from💓

I'm keen to think that you are both.
Were Skype, BitTorrent, XMPP - g(l)ovvni-er projects?

if you publish an 'web document' in the IPFS network, it should be stored across multiple nodes (not your pc), so by the time it will be retreived, your 'ip' will be offline, gone.

IPFS is underdeveloped & does have problems, but thingy you described doesn't make sense.
Replies: >>1874
>>1873
>Skype
Originally made by ebay, then purchased by Microsoft, just what do you expect?
>BitTorrent
Probably no, it was just made at a time when people generally weren't aware of the surveillance of all these alphabet soup agencies.
>XMPP
Based on everyone is pushing for the clearly glownigger honeypot matrix, this is probably not one either.

>if you publish an 'web document' in the IPFS network, it should be stored across multiple nodes (not your pc), so by the time it will be retreived, your 'ip' will be offline, gone.
That's simply not true. Other nodes won't mirror it unless someone requests that content, so if you upload something to IPFS and send the hash to someone else, they can likely figure out your IP address (or at least narrow it down to a couple of possible IP addresses). And other nodes will only store the content if someone pin it there, otherwise it just ends up in a cache and if no one requests that for some time, it gets removed. So TL;DR if you just upload something to IPFS and shut your daemon down, it will likely disappear from the network in a few days, because no one is gonna store infinite amount of useless data for free.

>made by eBay
made by Baltic hackers, that been born in Estonian SSR. Jaan, Priit & Tvoio Annus. Backed by Viking Kazaa money. Then partnerded with Poles. Then ebay acquired Luxembourgh office. Then ebay sold % to Canada Pension Fund.

My point is, that IPFS like many other technologies, not built with the goal of anonymity. That was never the promise. So asking something for which it has not been designed, it's like asking Mac to run WinOS. Imageboard also can leak your ip, yet you are still here.
>no one is gonna store infinite amount of useless data for free
actually peope doing exactly that. seeding files.
OS. blockchains. file sharing. etc.
sometimes seedratio even a requirement for participation in p2p network.
so options are:
:: publish nice & useful data. people in F2F share ipfs websites homepages dApps
:: rent a node host, just like a webhosting.
:: filecoin?

IPFS will remove & censor illegal information by publishing filter lists, black lists of hashes, passing down it to resolvers & others. So it is safe for work & legal. Many businesses invested & trying this technology.
Thread was a call for a peaceful exploraton.
Replies: >>1878
>>1876
>made by Baltic hackers,
Indeed, that's my fault. Still, ebay and microsoft had more than enough time to fill it up with backdoors.
>not built with the goal of anonymity
Yes, that's pretty obvious. What I'm trying to say is that in the current age of constant surveillance, any technology which doesn't even attempt to tackle the privacy problems is either insane on glownigger honeypot. It's technology for last century, not a modern replacement for web or whatever buzzwords they use to describe themselves.
>OS. blockchains. file sharing. etc.
OS: not infinite data. People mirror packages they want to use, but abandoned projects disappear. Try to download a hackable:1 image I dare you.
Blockchains: most of them are for shitcoins, i.e. not free at all.
File sharing: still not infinite. Try to download some obscure nip eroge made 20 years ago no one bothered to backup.
>IPFS will remove & censor illegal information by publishing filter lists
AFAIK fortunately only the public gateways use the censorship lists, if you run your own node it will be censorship free. Still not something I'd consider as a plus.
